Automotive News and Csm Worldwide Announce Partnership to Provide New Market Level Forecasts

January 22, 2008
Detroit, Mich.

Peter Brown, Associate Publisher and Editorial Director of Automotive News, announced today at the Automotive News World Congress a new partnership between the Automotive News Group and CSM Worldwide to provide Market Level Forecasts for ten global automotive markets.

"Automotive News is very proud to be the exclusive third-party supplier of these condensed production forecasts," he said. These reports are now available online at www.autonews.com/csm as an annual subscription with quarterly updates.

These quarterly production forecasts cover all passenger cars and light trucks up to 3.5 metric tons gross vehicle weight (GVW) for key automotive markets, including North America (NAFTA region), South America (MERCOSUL region), Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Central Europe, China, Japan, India, Asia (ASEAN region) and South Korea. Annual subscriptions with quarterly updates are $1,500 to $2,500 per market. They are delivered as PDF and Excel files and are designed to provide suppliers with a cost-effective alternative to CSM Worldwide's premium forecast subscriptions.

"Despite the hyper-competitive environment that automotive suppliers work in, many have yet to adopt forecasting as an integral part of their planning process. CSM's Market Level Forecasts offer such firms an affordable and reliable solution to this problem," said Craig Cather, president and CEO of CSM Worldwide. "Through our partnership with the Automotive News Group, we will be able to extend this service far beyond CSM's traditional client base."

Since 1925, Automotive News has been a weekly – and via www.autonews.com a daily – "must read" for industry executives, providing insight to managers and leaders at all levels at companies ranging from automakers to suppliers and dealers to remarketers. It is also a key information source for professionals aligned with the automotive industry such as bankers, insurers, advertisers, consultants and media. With more than 50 reporters and editors around the world, Automotive News delivers current news, in-depth features, insightful editorials, auto show coverage and more to 74,500 paid subscribers and more than 280,000 registered website users.

In addition to the industry-leading Automotive News print publication and www.autonews.com website, the Automotive News Group includes other leading automotive industry publications and websites, including Automotive News Europe, the German language publication Automobilwoche, as well as Automotive News China, a weekly newsletter and website for the rapidly growing Chinese automotive industry.
