Automotive market forecasting firm CSM Worldwide has added to its economic staff by naming Charles Chesbrough as its senior economist, reporting to CSM's Chief Economist, Greg Mount, according to President and CEO Craig Cather. In this position, Chesbrough will lead the development of CSM’s economic forecasts, assist with the further development of sales forecasts, and help CSM clients integrate financial and business economics and their impact on the auto industry.
Chesbrough brings a strong economic and market intelligence background with 20 years of professional experience. His career has focused on helping companies utilize quantitative and qualitative analyses to develop strategic direction and tactical plans that impact market share, customer loyalty and financial performance.
"Charles adds strength to our team on both an internal and external basis," said Cather. "Internally, he’ll partner with our team of analysts and help us continue to create the most accurate forecasts in the industry. Externally, he’ll be an important asset to our clients in helping them understand how the always-changing economic climate impacts their specific businesses and markets."
Prior to joining CSM, Chesbrough was a research director for Market Strategies Inc. in Livonia, Mich., and a senior ROI consultant for Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Mich. His education includes a B.A. in economics from Michigan State University and an M.A. in applied economics from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
